At Tenuta di Paganico we want to raise awareness of the importance of nature as a vehicle for knowledge. In order to do so, we offer different workshops and events that promote experiential learning. We hope and work hard for a future that will encourage mutualistic and honest collaborations between farmers and consumers.

Tasting activities:
Salumi (salt-cured meat) and fresh meat tasting from our organic production paired with a glass of red wine.
Farm to table (farm tour + tasting):
Guided farm tour of our organic Maremmana cow and Cinta Senese pig breeding system followed by a ‘light lunch’ based on products from the farm. By offering this tour we hope our guests can get a better understanding of what’s behind a closed-loop production farm.
We welcome couples, groups, kids and adults (booking is mandatory).

- Fresh pasta making basics
- Salumi making basics
We offer activities related to “preserving” in the strict meaning of the word which comes from the latin root prae-servo or “guard, watch over”. Many traditional production methods of the area are focused on this concept and the promotion of them is what keeps them from ceasing.
- Cork for breakfast
Do you know what cork is?
From from May to July we invite you to join us in the discovery of a magical material: cork. You’ll witness the cork extraction and the secrets and technique behind it. How is it obtained? Why is is important to take care of the cork oaks?
The tour is followed by a picnic breakfast in the forest between the cork oaks.
- Designing and building charcoal pits
In 1100 hectares of forest between tall oaks and Mediterranean scrub you can talk about almost anything: discoveries, footprints, dens, animals… With the help of a couple of nature guides you might be able to find what you are looking for.

FOR KIDS AND FAMILIES
We offer workshops best suited for those that want to experience nature at a basic but beautiful level, perfect for all ages.
In our vegetable garden, amongst butterflies and tomato vines, you can experience:
“Miniature garden”: how to take care of a miniature vegetable garden.
“Making a scarecrow”: getting to know the garden and enjoying it.
“Building an insect house”: discovering the insects that live in the garden and how they benefit the plants.
In the seek of new adventures:
“Take a trip to all 5 senses”: get to know the basic senses and beyond.
